About Jennifer

“I want to meet you as you are, not as you ought to be.” — Virginia Satir

I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally numb. My approach is warm and collaborative, grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe—both in our bodies and in our relationships. You may feel stuck in painful cycles of conflict with a loved one, weighed down by emotional distance, or trying to rebuild after a loss of trust. These experiences can leave you feeling unheard, alone, or unsure about how to move forward. Over time, this stress can then show up in the body as anxiety, shutdown, tension, or emotional overwhelm.

In our work together, we’ll slow things down and listen to what your body and nervous system are communicating. Using somatic (body-based) and nervous system-informed therapy, we’ll explore how stress and past experiences shape your reactions—such as shutting down, becoming defensive, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. You’ll learn to recognize your body’s signals so you can better understand your needs, emotions, and boundaries. As you feel more grounded and present, many people notice clearer communication, stronger emotional connection, and greater resilience in their daily lives and relationships.

Therapy is a partnership focused on healing, not changing who you are. Together, we’ll bring compassion, curiosity, and practical tools to support meaningful, lasting change. I bring warmth, care, and gentle honesty to our work, and I would be honored to support you on your healing journey. My goal is to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be, restoring the safety and clarity needed to move forward with hope.

I share my home with a tuxedo cat named Frida and lots of plants. I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors, appreciating all the natural beauty Washington has to offer. I also teach yoga and meditation and maintain my own personal practice, which informs my therapeutic work.
