I see my clients as experts on their own lives and view my role as a guide to facilitate change. My approach is based on increasing awareness of the stories people have created about themselves and events that have happened in their life, helping clients break free of what no longer serves them and writing new narratives for themselves. With this, I also emphasize the importance of attunement with emotions to promote self- and co-regulation.
I provide individual, family, and couple’s therapy. I predominantly work with clients around life changes and challenges brought on by both chronic and acute illness. With this, I also appreciate helping individuals as they navigate the ups and downs that come with life stage transitions, such as graduating from college or starting on a new career path. As a professional dancer, I also enjoy working with individuals as they cope with the demands of careers in the performing arts. All of my sessions are telehealth at this time.
I am currently working towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (externship completed in April 2023, starting Core Skills in September 2023). I am also in the process of completing a certificate in Medical Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University (expected completion in December 2023). I have previously interned at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the Psychiatric and Behavioral Medicine Unit, Navigate Family Therapy, and Swedish Cancer Institute.
If you’re interested in working with me, please send an email request and I would be happy to set up a free 15-minute consultation for us to see if it would be a good fit.
