Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that views the mind as naturally made up of multiple “parts” – each with its own perspective, feelings, and memories. Several of our therapists specialize in IFS.
How IFS works:
- Identifies and understands your internal “parts” (protectors, exiles, etc.)
- Develops a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself
- Heals wounded parts that carry pain from past experiences
- Strengthens your core “Self” – your natural capacity for healing
IFS is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. It’s a gentle, non-pathologizing approach that honors your inner wisdom.
